Here Stephen Sondheim shows why his music has such an impact. In coaching a master class student* at London's Guildhall School of Music to perform Send in the Clowns from A Little Night Music he gives every syllable, every note, every inflection his full attention.
If you're quick on your computer volume control you can be Sondheim's student. Mute the unidentified student (who does have a very nice voice) and sing the lyrics yourself, then unmute to get coaching from Sondheim.
